Marine Life and Beach Adventure

The tide rises and falls twice a day. When conditions are just right, the tide falls far enough that we can walk amongst rocks covered with sea life and peer into tide pools teaming with interesting creatures.

Join Bear Creek Tours knowledgeable guide for a low tide experience and explore the exciting intertidal zone. (Tour times are based on tide schedules) We will find sea stars, sea anemones, barnacles, kelp, mussels, and more. We’ll see interesting shore birds and rock formations including caves incrusted with sea creatures. And who knows what interesting objects or driftwood came in with the last high tide.

What to Wear

Wear shoes that can get wet. The best low tides tend to be early morning or late day, so dress to keep warm. The tour will go in light rain, but not a heavy storm. Bring along dry socks and shoes if you wan to change when we leave the beach.

What to Bring
